Jessica Simpson I Love Lucy Inspired Show

Jessica Simpson I Love Lucy Inspired Show, Jessica Simpson is set to become a first-time mom any day now (Really, any day now, Jessica!) — but that doesn’t mean she’s slowing down in the career department. After debuting her new fashion competition show ‘Fashion Star’ earlier this month, Jess is reportedly developing a TV show inspired by the 1950′s sitcom ‘I Love Lucy!’

TV producer Ben Silverman, the mastermind behind ‘Fashion Star,’ has high hopes that Jessica will revive the slap-sticky female role made popular by Lucille Ball. According to WENN, Simpson was allegedly heard chatting off the record about the potential project with Silverman during a recent interview with Elle magazine.

“What about that ‘I Love Lucy’ thing you and I were talking about?” the producer asked Jess. “The sitcom. We really should go to the networks. It could be super funny,” he said.

Simpson replied, “Let’s develop it.” Apparently, Jessica has a twist in mind for the show adding, “But I think it would be good to play myself, a new mom, and not do anything so different that people won’t grasp it.”

Silverman goes on to sing Jess’ praises to Elle, saying, “She is just naturally funny. Jess has such a disarming wit for a beautiful girl, making fun of herself in the most charming way.”
