Now she has a new book, “Double Delicious! Well, a simple meal for Busy, complex lives and appeared on” The Oprah Show “today to promote it.
The aim of the first book seemed to be all about hiding vegetables and other healthy things for kids candy they eat. I happen to like a really bad idea. Even my daughter 8 years old, Jesse said the other day when the subject came up.
“If you hide the broccoli in brownies, children will never know if you like broccoli,” said Jesse. “You’re just eating fool.” I could not have said it better myself (of course, Jesse does not eat broccoli anyway).
In his new book, Jessica Seinfeld is trying to teach parents to make a home cooked healthy food need not be slow or difficult. For example, crock pots can be a real time saver for busy parents who work.
“People are working twice as much as they do in this country, and life became more complicated,” said Jessica Oprah. “Food is something that has been in this country.”
To test his theory, he challenged “The Oprah Show” Jessica Seinfeld to help some of the worst cooks in America. She taught cooking easy and nutritious meals for your family. But there is no guarantee that we will use what they have learned once they return home.
Seinfeld also gave advice for making the right choices when shopping (eg, not going to buy food when hungry!).
