Jennifer Mee, (AP) – A woman from Tampa Bay, which has been plagued by uncontrollable twitching for months, is charged in the murder of a man during a robbery, police said.

Jennifer Mee, 19, of St. Petersburg and two others are charged with first-degree murder in the death of Shannon Griffin, 22, on Saturday.

Mee Griffin attracted to a house where the other robbed him at gunpoint, Sgt. TA Skinner Police Department of St. Petersburg said in a statement Sunday news. Griffin struggled with the suspects and was shot several times, police said.

Mee and others have admitted their involvement, “said Mr. Skinner.

Mee was held without bail Monday morning. Pinellas County Jail records did not indicate if she had a lawyer. Telephone numbers listed for the mother Mee have been disconnected.

Mee hiccups – up to 50 times per minute for months – has gained notoriety in 2007. She tried home remedies and consultation of medical specialists, a hypnotist and an acupuncturist, until the hiccups finally just stopped on their own.

Mee no longer suffers from hiccups, spokesman Mike Puetz of the police said.
