Jeff HardyJeff Hardy makes surprise debut on TNA impact:They promised surprises. The pro wrestling company TNA, on the heels of signing Hulk Hogan, announced weeks ago that they were going to have a live three-hour “Impact” show tonight to compete head-to-head with WWE’s “Monday Night Raw”. And they promised. But you expected Ric Flair, or Scott Hall. Sean Waltman. Eric Bischoff. You expected those guys to show up. And Val Venis and Orlando Jordan showed up, but you didn’t care that they showed up.

And then it happened. Right after the first match, some strange music played. And who came out of the stands to make his TNA debut? Former WWE superstar Jeff Hardy, perhaps the second biggest name among active wrestler.

Hardy stood among the fans, then climbed over the barrier. TNA announcer Mike Tenay said, “It was a night we promised you shocks, surprises.” And they were right. TNA wrestler Homicide attacked Hardy, who swung¬†a chair and hit Homicide¬†in the face. Hardy then climbed on top of a cage surrounding the wrestling ring and sat on top.

And suddenly, this wrestling war became a lot more real.
