Jeff Garcia Texans

Jeff Garcia Texans, Texans rookie QB T.J. Yates is suddenly flanked by a looooot of NFL experience. Houston signed four-time Pro Bowler Jeff Garcia, 41, Wednesday. Last week the team brought in Jake Delhomme, 36, as it rebuilds the depth chart after losing Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart to season-ending injuries.

“It’s awesome to be back and to have an opportunity to be part of a great team, a team that is really going places and to come in and see however it is that I can contribute, help the young guy out and just be a part of something special,” said Garcia, who wasn’t banking on another career stop.

“Honestly, I’m not saying that I checked out, but I was on to other things. Let’s be honest, I’m 41 years old and as much as I keep myself in shape, I wasn’t necessarily out there throwing the ball every other day. To get the call and to just have my name come up, it was a great feeling.”
