Japan Fukushima, (HKSAR) - Given the explosion of a nuclear power plant in Fukushima Prefecture in Japan, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government today (March 12) issued an alert black outgoing Travel (OTA) for Fukushima Prefecture in Japan, while Red OTA is maintained for the rest of the country. Hong Kong residents in Japan are urged to avoid all travel to the prefecture of Fukushima, attention to the announcement of local government and take feasible measures to ensure their personal safety, the government spokesman said.
The government today released text messages on mobile phones for Hong Kong residents with roaming services in Japan to inform them that Black was issued for OTA Fukushima Prefecture in Japan, there are the residents must attend personal security.
Safety Board will continue to monitor the status updates and issue through the media and the Web page live (www.sb.gov.hk / eng / ota). Safety Board will continue to liaise with the Economic Commission of Hong Kong and Trade Office in Tokyo and the Chinese Embassy in Japan monitoring the situation there. The Chinese embassy in Japan has set up a hotline (81-3-34033064) to provide assistance to Chinese citizens, including residents of Hong Kong.
Residents outside Hong Kong who need assistance can call the hotline 24-hour assistance to residents of Hong Kong unit of the Immigration Department at (852) 1868.
