Jalee Fuselier, Miss Hawaii Jale Fuselier”a won the lifestyle and fitness in the pageant for Miss America 2011 in Las Vegas last week. The 22-year Hawaii Pacific University graduate Haleiwa receive a scholarship in 1000 and his victory. Miss North Carolina, Adrienne Core won the talent competition.
The finals of the scholarship competition and community service will broadcast 20 hours on KITV Saturday. “We are very proud of the initial success of our representative in the pageant,” said Miss Hawaii Organization President Lincoln Jacobe. “Jale has worked very hard to achieve this success and has accomplished much to date and we continue to support it during this week of competition.”
Fuselier is the founder of Hawaii U.S. Dream Academy, which awards scholarships to students for community service. She participated in community services in 21 countries and 10 states, including helping build homes for orphans in Uganda through volunteering in Thailand after the 2004 tsunami deaths.
