Jack Nicholson Home FireJack Nicholson Home Fire, Two Los Angeles firefighters were injured in a fire at a house owned by the legendary Jack Nicholson movie star in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

Eighty firefighters responded to fire in the large two-story house, which exploded shortly before 8:00 pm on Friday night, Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), said spokesman Matt Spence.

Two firefighters were sent to a local hospital for observation after suffering unspecified injuries, the LAFD, said in a statement Saturday.

“After a grueling battle that lasted nearly an hour and a half, 80 firefighters officially declared a” fall “and the initial fear, the Incident Commander of the fire spreading to surrounding brush was not performed,” the statement said LAFD .

“The cause of this fire Friday night remains under active investigation and the dollar loss is still being tabulated.”

KTLA-TV reported that Oscar winner Nicholson had rented the house for the actor William Tynan, who starred with “The Two Jakes.”

Tynan was in the house at that time and called 911 after smelling smoke, the network said.
