Jack Black’s Band

Jack Black’s Band, After a six-year hiatus, the heavy metal duo Tenacious D (Jack Black and Kyle Gass) has a new album coming out and a world tour set to begin in May. The self-proclaimed greatest band of all time has returned. Tenacious D, the heavy metal duo made up of comic actors Jack Black and Kyle Gass, is back after a six-year hiatus with a promotional video for their upcoming album, “Rize of the Fenix,” and an eagerly awaited (by the band) summer tour.

The six-minute clip features cameos by Jimmy Kimmel, Tim Robbins, Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl, “Extra” host Maria Menounos and Val Kilmer, who seems ready to take a bullet for his celebrity pal Black.

“Some called them kings, others called them gods, but one thing everyone agreed on was that Tenacious D was more talented than the Beatles, Stones and Zeppelin combined, but when their film ‘Pick of Destiny’ failed to perform at the box office, these two king-gods tasted mortality,” deadpans Menounos in a mock “Extra” segment.
