Ishaq Williams, Friday Notre Dame football team received a verbal commitment from Brooklyn, New York (Lincoln High School) defensive end / linebacker outside “Ishaq Williams.”
The 6-foot-6, 220 pounds, Williams chose the Irish over Penn State and Syracuse.
According to reports, Notre Dame defensive coordinator Bob Diaco visited Williams at his home in Brooklyn around 4:30 am Friday and Williams later committed to the fight against Ireland. Williams had been schedule to go on an official visit to Penn State this weekend, but Notre Dame swooped in to catch the four-star recruit.
Williams was originally planned to announce his decision at the Cup U.S. Army All-American in San Antonio, Texas, Jan. 8, but decided to postpone his appointment, as he was uncomfortable making a decision for time.
Ishaq end star of High School defensive ”’Williams, from Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, chose to play for Notre Dame, choosing the Irish struggle over Syracuse and Penn State, according to the department of Lincoln sports. Williams is the No. 29 recruit school football in the class of 20111 and No. 6 defensive end by ESPNU.
The 6-6, 220-pound senior helped lead Lincoln Public Schools sports game league championship against Fort Hamilton this season, where the Railsplitters final step in their bid for a perfect season. According to the website of the PSAL, Williams had six sacks and four touchdowns (three receiving, precipitation) this season.
