Ironman Kona 2011Ironman Kona 2011, As expected Andy Potts and Pete Jacobs lead the 2011 Ford Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

Potts has a small hole in Pete Jacobs with a chasing pack a small distance back to the chasing pack, which includes Australian Luke McKenzie.

Amanda Stevens, Julie Dibens and Lucie Zelenkova lead women are already swimming with the front runners.

It looked like Pete Jacobs is slowing a bit, but now it has adapted to its own pace and not to let the guys catch it. Pete is determined to leave the water with a hole in Craig Alexander. Jacobs can be caught by the chasing group, but as the top contenders do not want to let it at any time advantage.

Jacobs now may have been swallowed up by the chasing pack.

There will be a tide turn out to swim, so it will be interesting to see how this affects the weaker swimmers.
