IPad Game For Cats Unveiled

IPad Game For Cats Unveiled, The first ‘cross’ species video game has been released that lets you take on your tabby in a game of virtual ice-hockey. Cat food manufacturer Friskies unveiled You vs Cat at this week’s South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas.

However, this may turn out to be a fearful day for humanity, who have long-held ourselves to be the dominant species on this planet.

For the cats are comfortably beating us – 2,091 to 1,250.

The game is similar to ‘one-way’ ice hockey, where the home team – us – flings objects past the goalie – Tigger or Whiskers or other.

The game, now on iTunes, has an online worldwide leaderboard, and sadly we are not doing well, currently losing by almost a 1,000 points.

Top of the leaderboard is Buddy, pictured above, who entertained the crowds at SXSW.

He is allegedly unbeaten, and Katie Notopoulos, writer for Buzzfeed, wrote after her defeat: ‘His confidence and arrogance was evident – he wouldn’t even look me in the eye after completly decimating me three rounds in a row.’

This is the fourth game for cats released by Friskies. The previous games allowed cat-gamers to squash bugs and fish as they crawled or swam across the screen.
