Ice Cube And Architecture, It turns out rapper Ice Cube has a passion for architecture and particularly for Charles and Ray Eames, the American pioneers of modern design and furniture. Ice Cube, 42, has been getting involved in the art-world event Pacific Standard Time, promoting the extravaganza in an online video.

The rapper is best known for his work with acclaimed group Nwa in the 1980′s, but has since turned attention to a career in show-business. He features in the latest Pst promo video, touring the Eames House in Pacific Palisades and praising the skills and talents of the husband-and-wife design team. He also reveals that he once studied “architectural drafting” before making the foray into the music business and named a few of his favorite design landmarks, including sports arena the Forum in Inglewood and the Watts Tower in Los Angeles. Leaked images of Ice Cube’s appearance in the video have been circulating for several months, though the exact reasons for his involvement in the architectural event were unclear. Charles Eames, who once said, “Eventually, everything connects”, and his wife Ray are known for designing several timeless pieces of furniture, including the Eames Lounge chair and accompanying Ottoman.
