I Am A Thief And I Stole From Walmart

January 12, 2012 by staff

I Am A Thief And I Stole From Walmart, A mom in Indiana forced her son to wear a sign saying, “I lie, I steal, I sell drugs, I don’t follow the law”, on a busy public street after she says he was caught breaking the law, again.

Dynesha Lax forced her son to wear the sign along for two hours.

According to Lax, her son has already been convicted of multiple felonies and the court system has done little to correct her son’s actions.

“He constantly chooses to break the law. I’ve had my son in the system and he ends up getting nothing but community service. So today I decided that if he wants attention, we are going to get him some attention.”

The teen did end up attracting a lot of attention.

Fort Wayne Police were called to the area after someone complained. According to officers, Lax is not breaking any laws and the punishment was allowed to continue.

“He doesn’t show any emotion for it, that’s the reason we’re out here” said Lax. “If he has some sympathy for what he was doing we wouldn’t be out here. I hope this makes it sink in.”

The teen remained quiet during the punishment however he did tell a local television station that he will change his ways.

Amazing how when a parent attempts to discipline their child in public someone calls the police on them. That is the problem in a nutshell. I am glad the police did not interfere with the punishment. People need to mind their own business!
