Hulk Hogan Metallica

Hulk Hogan Metallica, Was 80s wrestling legend Hulk Hogan nearly destined for success as a member of the biggest metal band of all time? If the Hulkamania is to be believed, yes.

The aging grappler revealed to The Sun that he almost joined an early version of Metallica, due to his close friendship with drummer Lars Ulrich during the band’s early days.

“I used to be a session musician before I was a wrestler,” Hogan explained. “I played bass guitar. I was big pals with Lars Ulrich and he asked me if I wanted to play bass with Metallica in their early days but it didn’t work out.”

Digging a little deeper, Hogan shared similar news two years ago in an interview, but was a little more realistic about the exchange. “When Metallica was looking for a bass player, I called and never heard a word back from them either. I would have quit wrestling in a heartbeat to be a bass player for Metallica.”
