Rebecca Gebler, 21, of Hopkinton, was also pleased with her place in the River. She and her two brothers and a couple of friends, was among the first to leave towels on a wooden deck that juts into the River. “It’s our first time here,” he said. “We are very happy.”

“I want the kind that rocks your body,” chimed in Malacaria “If I have to keep my hat, that’s how I know it will be good.”
