Honda Recall Airbags

May 3, 2011 by staff

Honda Recall Airbags, Honda to expand the removal of air pockets that could explode with a dangerous force by an additional of 833,000 vehicles.

Honda says that the bags can inflate with great force and a case can be broken with the risk of injury or death. Honda said at the time of the last expansion of this memory that is aware of 12 incidents with 11 injuries and one death. You can read our coverage of the recall expansion before.

Added now to remember are some of these models:

2001-02 Agreement

2001-03 Civic

2002 Odyssey

CR-V 2002-03

Acura TL 3.2 2002-03

2003 Acura 3.2 CL

Honda says it has added these vehicles for removal, because it has determined that some may have had defective air bags installed when they were replaced after a deployment in an accident. 2430 Honda said defective air bags were installed after the accident, but do not know that vehicles have.

So the recall is being expanded to 833,000 vehicles inspect defective replacements. An original in 2008 was less than 4.000 2.001 Accords and Civics. In February 2010, Honda added more than 378,000 cars.

Owners will be notified by mail this month. If an owner is unsure of the air bag has never been replaced, it can notify the company. Otherwise, which must be inspected.
