Hawaii Couple 18 Hours, A couple in Hawaii than 3 years old daughter was caught for 18 hours after being arrested for having forgotten a payment of two and five sandwiches.

“This is unreal that this could happen to a family like ours,” said Nicole Leszczynski KHON in Hawaii.

The output became a nightmare occurred on Wednesday, while the family was shopping at a local Safeway.

“We’ve come a long way to the store and I felt weak, dizzy, as if I needed to eat something so we decided to take some sandwiches and eat them while we were shopping,” Leszczynski said news station.

Leszczynski, who is 30 weeks pregnant, her husband, Marcin and Zophia and daughter bought $ 50 in grocery stores – but they forgot two chicken salad sandwiches.

“It was a complete distraction, distracted parents now,” Leszczynski said KHON.

As the family left, were detained by store security, who asked for their reception.

“I offered to pay, I had the cash. Just to buy food,” Leszczynski said the station.

Instead, the mother told KHON that the Safeway manager called the police. Were taken to the main police station in Honolulu, where they were booked for theft of fourth grade. Then Zophia was arrested by the Child Protective Services.

“When we were told that would take it, because both would be arrested, just could not believe it, I could not believe what was happening, because I forgot to pay for the sandwich and she has never been away from us all this time,” Leszczynski said KHON.

Hawaii News Now CPS said the department takes a child when both parents are arrested.

Zophia mom said she spent a sleepless night thinking about her daughter and shared the terrible experience of parenting website. His message attracted the attention of hundreds of parents outraged.

“We knew that our daughter did not know what the situation, she did not have any clothes that just take her right to the store,” Leszczynski said Kohn.

Zophia was returned to her parents 18 hours later.

Safeway Management issued the following statement: “Safeway is aware of the incident and is working closely with appropriate law enforcement authorities The incident is under review, but until the investigation concluded that it would be premature to comment.”.

A day later, Safeway issued a further statement, saying it may have been a mistake.

“It seems they have not handled this issue as best as possible and we are taking the situation seriously,” said the store.

The couple says that he never intended to steal the sandwich, and they plan to argue against the charges when he appears before the court in November.

“I hope nobody else has to go through this,” Leszczynski said.
