Hartford CourantHartford Courant, A shooting in the morning in Manchester Dealers Hartford, Connecticut, killing at least nine people dead and several wounded.

The attacker would have been a warehouse worker named Omar Tornton. The Hartford Courant reports that the shooter killed himself with his own gun when police approached the scene.

Hartford Distributors Inc. is a family-owned beer and wine distributor is about 10 miles east of Hartford, Connecticut. Searches for information on the tragedy quickly made Google Trends on Tuesday.

MSNBC reports: A company executive said Thornton, 34, is accused of robbing and distributors of Hartford had been called at a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday. Police said there were “multiple fatalities” at a press conference on Tuesday, but declined to confirm exactly how many died and how many were injured because they had not been able to reach families of all victims.

The Hartford Courant reports: Thornton launched a number of people and then shot himself with a .223 caliber semiautomatic rifle as police approached and he is dead, the sources said. Two people were killed outside the building and five were shot inside, police said. Steve Hollander, a member of the family that founded and owns the company, is one of the wounded, a police source said. He was shot in the neck, the source said.
