Harry Potter: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The filming of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” wrapped up last June. Above all, however – the film’s stars returned in December to reshoot the final scene of the series.
Do not worry – there went and did something stupid like re-write the epilogue. However, “Deathly Hallows” by director David Yates did not like the way his first shot at the end was. “We ended with a scene that, for all sorts of reasons … not work,” Yates says EW.
In the first step on the scene, which is set 19 years after the main story, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ginny (Bonnie Wright), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) to send their children to Hogwarts. The actors were made to look like 30-something versions of their characters, but Yates was not pleased with it.
“I did not want the older players,” says Yates. . “If he spent seven films with these guys, you know that these children, and wants to finish them … I asked the studio to have a second pop in him, a very simple solution – simple makeup, which can be slightly improved special effects – which is really charming. ”
Producer David Heyman gives big thumbs up to the scene reshot. “It was a fun day, and made to look in 30 years late,” he tells EW. “It really underscores the reality of the situation. I knew it had been years [since the first film of 'Potter'], but I realized I had aged a lot.”
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II” opens July 15.
