Harold Camping Predicts Doomsday Again, The holiday season officially starts when the festive lights in a historic tree are connected by the end of this month. Electricity to more than 1,000 multi-colored LED lights in a Norfolk pine green in the city will become Port Macquarie Hastings Council administrator by Neil Porter on 24 November.
Countdown to Christmas event will begin at 18:45 with entertainment by Sing Australia Port Macquarie, the set of Young Guns and Youth Theatre group Wauchope.
This is the first of many celebrations in the region, thanks to more than 15,000 and distributed by the Council for the Christmas and New Year’s Eve events open to the public and run by nonprofit groups.
Various celebrations are planned throughout the local government area have been funded by the Community Council Grant Scheme.
“It is gratifying that so many groups have organized a series of events that promote camaraderie and sense of community as we approach the holiday season,” said Porter.
Last year, municipal workers 5m up an artificial tree – with lights and decorations 1000 – at the northern end of Horton Street.
