Harlem Basketball Girl Shot, An eighteen-year-old was shot dead in her apartment in Harlem this morning in what is reported as a case of mistaken identity. Tayshana Murphy, a prominent Rated basketball who played for Murray Bergtraum High, was trying to escape a gunman in a hallway on the fourth floor of the houses grant around 4:10 am “It took on the fourth floor and had to be at gunpoint and shot him in the head, “his friend told the Daily News. “She was begging for her life. Witnesses believe that her assailant mistook a child who fought with a group of men in a nearby public housing complex; she was wearing a hooded sweatshirt similar to the child. No arrests have been made and the investigation is still pending.
