Hotel Maurya is organizing a pool party from 7pm till midnight with free buffet, mocktails and ccktails. The performance of Sakshi Pradhan (winner of Splitsvilla-2) will be the major attraction here. The fare will cost Rs 6,000 per couple. Stags accompanying a couple can enjoy the bash by paying Rs 3,500 each. “We are also holding a belle dance performance,” RR Rana, marketing manager of the hotel, told TOI.
A multi-cuisine buffet, a free flowing bar amid live dance performances will be on offer at Hotel Patliputra Ashok on December 31. While couples can get in for Rs 5000, stags will have to pay Rs 2,500 each. “We are organizing a musical night by singers Shreya Chakrobarty and Kapil Thapa along with laughter show by Rohit Pyare,” said Purshottam Jha, manager of the hotel. Dance groups from Kolkata will perform at the programme to be hosted by Bobby Darling.
For those with a lower budget, Purple Lounge offers entry to a couple for Rs 3,000 for free buffet along with a welcome drink. “Visitors would have to pay for the drinks and starters only. Stags’ entry is restricted,” said Allan Christopher, owner of the lounge. DJ Anshuman from Mumbai would rock the floor from 8pm onwards.
At the revolving restaurant, Pind Balluchi, DJs will go all out setting the floor on fire and churning some groovy Bollywood numbers. Amar Kumar, manager, said, “We are not offering any food or drink packages this year. We have no restriction for stags.”
A DJ night has also been planned at Bhagirathi Vihar, the riverside restaurant. Its owner, Prakash Singh, said, “Live DJ performances, a dance troupe from Delhi and regional artists will entertain the visitors here.” Arabian night on cruise – the restaurant has tied up with floating restaurant – on hourly basis would be a major attraction, which would start at 8pm and continue till midnight.
“We have around 35 delicacies ranging from Mexican, Italian, Thai, Arabic and African Chinese and Indian, with a wide verity of ccktail and mocktail.” Singh added. Here the family (two adults and two kids) entry is for Rs 3000.
Hotel Gargee Grand is organizing various programmes including ghazal, old melodies, orchestra followed by filmy item dance and kids’ zone. “You can enjoy it for Rs 4500 (for a couple and two children under 10),” said Richard Pereira, general manager.
To rock the city, a recently-opened restaurant, Crown Castle, is organizing a rock concert. You can enjoy live rock performance for Rs 2,500. Kids below five years are not allowed, while for those above five, the entry fee is Rs 1,250 each.
“To avoid any untoward incident, stags are not allowed here,” said Priyamber Singh, the restaurant owner, adding, “Food at the buffet is free but visitors have to pay for drinks.”
The cheapest buffet can be had at Cream Centre at P & M mall. “On both December 31 and January 1, from 12 noon till 11.30pm, we are organizing a buffet for Rs 499 per person,” said Nishant Jain, the owner.
All the major clubs of the city are also holding private parties, where only members are allowed.
