Happy International Beer Day, You have to give it to beer lovers – they really know how the media angle. Today is the second day we celebrate a holiday popularized online – as well as the second straight day, held a beer festival.
Yesterday, the craft beer town celebrates International Day for the IPA. Buzz for the feast in honor of the India Pale Ale spread through the media, especially twitter. Two beer lovers with slight Twitter followers successfully achieved the number IPADay trend in several cities in an effort Twitter-grown truth.
Although yesterday was the first annual celebration of # IPADay, holiday beer today has been around since 2007.
International Beer Day is another festival that the Internet has grown to fame. “Happy International Beer Day” is currently a trending topic on Twitter. According to the site of IBD, which reached the top of Google search trends list Aug. 5. They say there have been celebrations of International Day of beer in 23 different countries. Apparently, people love a party that glorifies drinking beer. Go figure.
IDB was founded by Jesse Avshalomov (@ allforJesse) and Evan Hamilton (@ evanhamilton) 4 years ago. The purpose of the holiday, according to the website of IBD, is threefold.
The purpose of IBD is threefold:
1) To meet friends and enjoy the delights that is beer.
2) To celebrate the dedicated men and women who serve beer and beer.
3) To unite the world under the banner of beer only, with the celebration of the beers of all nations and cultures on this day a remarkable
Sounds like something you can get behind, right?
Although the people behind # IPADay said the celebration was for everyone, not just the drinkers in the API, the API will most likely run by night. Tonight (Friday and was going to happen), the Bank seems to be the universal toast of anyone enjoying a beer – be it a strong beer, craft beer or yellow complex, the point is that it is beer.
