Grand National, Grand National festival starts on Thursday 12th April with the main event runs on Saturday April 14
The Grand National 2011 was one of the success stories of the year bigggest if sold for the first time since 1984, as thousands flocked to Aintree to enjoy the sun and take Liverpool into an excellent day of competition.
While there is no guarantee that the weather will be like in 2012, it is still an exceptional event, with Donald McCain Ballabriggs bid to become the first horse since Red Rum to win the Grand National two consecutive years.
The Aintree Festival begins on Thursday 12 April and will start, as always, the hurdle of Liverpool, who won in emphatic style Big Buck in, and will run until Saturday 14 April.
The Grand National will be held on the last day of the festival and the 40 horses begin their assault on the most famous racetrack in the world at 16:15. Tickets go on sale for racing week in August 2011.
