Grammy Nominations 2010

December 3, 2009 by USA Post

Taylor_SwiftGrammy Nominations 2010:The 2010 Grammy nominations have been announced.  The 52nd annual Grammy Award show will air on January 31, 2010 and the winners will announced to the world.  Who do you think lead the 2010 Grammy nominations? The answer may surprise you.  While many people may have anticipated country music’s sweetheart Taylor Swift to lead the pack – it was actually Beyonce.  Beyonce has 10 nominations, with Taylor Swift coming in close with 8 nominations.

Kanye West who has become famous in Music City as the guy who dissed Taylor Swift on stage has 6 nominations.  Hopefully Kanye won’t have a re-peat of the MTV Video Music Awards during the Grammys.

Keith Urban snatched up 4 Grammy nominations. Keith Urban and Taylor Swift will make Music City proud.  Many people hope that these artists will walk away with multiple Grammys.

Taylor Swift’s hit “You Belong with Me” has tough competition this year competing against songs such as Blackeyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling”, Beyonce’s “Halo”, Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody”, and Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” for the coveted Record of the Year.

Taylor Swift’s album “Fearless” is up for a Grammy in the General, Pop, and Country genres.  The 2010 Grammys are sure to be an exciting night for country music fans in Nashville.

Here are the official 2010 Grammy Nominations for the Country Music Genre.  You can download the entire list on nominees at the official Grammy Web site:
