Gorilla Glass, The droid Raya Motorola and Dell are just some of the appliances that use power-Corning Gorilla glass for their screens, but from next year we could be watching TV placement of protective stab-proof too.
While Corning has yet to sign on any TV manufacturers, who are hoping to have something on the market early next year, even to convert a factory in Japan in anticipation of orders.
As we have seen the Nintendo Wii was released, the call for scratch-proof, unbreakable glass television is becoming stronger, and Corning have the luxury of being one of the few companies touting hard-as-nails glass to manufacturers. You no doubt send the prices of TVs up a notch or two, but for my part, I pull a few more notes in my next TV purchase, if I knew that things would be as indestructible as a diamond.
