Global Medical ReliefGlobal Medical Relief, In 60 minutes tonight, July 3, 2011, the three segments will be the assassination of the civil rights of Louis Allen, charity Elissa Montanti Global Medical Relief, and the Vatican Library.

In the segment of Louis Allen, Steve Kroft reports on an investigation carried out for 18 months on unsolved civil rights murder of Louis Allen in Mississippi. The FBI has a suspect, and Kroft finds him alive and well … and unwilling to take a lie detector test.

In the segment of Elissa Montanti, Scott Pelley reports on how Montanti is on a mission to save “a child at a time.” His charity, the Global Medical Relief Fund, works to get children maimed surgeries they need to recover as much as possible. She asked doctors and hospitals donate their services and supplies for free, and to date has helped over 100 children!
In the last segment of the Vatican Library, Morley Safer and 60 Minutes cameras take a rare look inside the Vatican Library. The Pope is the only person who really gets to borrow books from this library. They have some of the most important historical documents of the world; it is not surprising that security is strong!
