Gift Ideas From Across The U.S.

Gift Ideas From Across The U.S., With Christmas just around the corner — just 13 more shopping days — I thought that I’d take a look at what’s “hot” in Greenville’s two top golf shops, Gordon’s Golf and Ski and Pro Golf Discount.
Gordon Fulp, former head golf pro at Greenville Country Club, is promoting several items as gifts for the golfer. “The Pro V golf balls are selling well,” Fulp said, “along with the Pro VX for the better golfers. Wedges are drawing interest as are the new Ping drivers.”
Fulp noted that the new Ping irons for 2012 won’t be out until the spring.
“Sky Caddies are doing well,” he continued. “The long putters are also doing well, both the belly and the chest putters.”
For the cold weather golfers, Fulp suggests silk long johns, which keep you warm outside without adding a lot of bulk to your clothing, but then don’t feel too hot when inside. “We’re also selling a lot of hand warmers, too,” he added.
Over at Pro Golf, Chris Langley has placed a lot of drivers on sale, among them the Taylor Made R11, cut $100, and the Taylor Made Super Fast 2.0 now $199. He also joined Fulp in noting that the Ping G20 is in stock and he expects them to sell well.
“Both the Taylor Made Burner and the Calloway Diablo have dropped to $149 from $299,” Langley noted. “Taylor Made Burner Irons have dropped from $699 to $399 and the Ping G10 from $699 to $499.”
