Giant Microbes Venereals

February 15, 2012 by staff

Giant Microbes Venereals, GiantMicrobes dolls lend new meaning to the phrase, “I have malaria.”
Toxic mold and flesh-eating disease are cuter than you think with Giantmicrobe plush dolls.
The dolls are cuddly recreations of poxes and pestilence — from the common cold (rhinovirus) to environmental hazards like red tide (alexandrium tamarense).

They come with their own petri dish, along with a photo of the real-life microorganism and fun facts.

Their makers tout their educational value, but we could see kids developing an attachment to button-eyed bacteria like scum (biddulphia) and p**ples (propionibacterium acnes).

The venereal disease dolls — including syphilis and gonorrhea — are strictly for teens and grown-ups.
