Jamie-Lynn Sigler has a whole series of rituals for when she’s performing on stage. “When I’m in a theater show I’m very superstitious,” said Sigler to InStyle. “I do the same warm-ups. I actually wore the same underwear every show, and I washed them in between. I’m crazy superstitious like that, but not with filming, only with theater.”
Lady Gaga is known for being eccentric, and even her superstitious beliefs are a little left-of-field. “I have weird superstitions about sex,” said Gaga to AMP Radio. “If you’re not having sex with someone who really cares about you or who really loves you they can screw up your energy.”

Food Network star Giada De Laurentis has two superstitions. The television cooking star saying she throws spilled salt behind her left shoulder for luck, and that she doesn’t like to let cats sleep on her bed, based on the medieval Italian belief that if a black cat laid on the bed of a sick man, he would die.
Rainn Wilson says he follows the old acting supersitions of never saying the Shakespeare play title “Macbeth” out loud in a theater, because it brings bad luck. Wilson says he learned this lesson the hard way. “I believe in that because I said it once and a light fell from the ceiling and crushed my foot,” he said to InStyle.
Emma Roberts says she doesn’t take any chances. The Nancy Drew actress says she’ll never, ever walk underneath ladders. “Don’t walk under ladders. My mom just walked under one yesterday and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe you just did that!’ I’ve never walked under a ladder, ever,” said Roberts to InStyle.
James McAvoy learned his lucky ritual from his grandmother. The star told PopCrunch that he says “white rabbit” to the first person he meets on the first day of every month for good luck. Whatever works!
Paris Hilton says she has two superstitions she likes to follow. “[I] knock on wood if someone says something that I don’t want to happen,” the heiress said to InStyle. “Or I always make a wish at 11:11.”
Richard Gere is known as a spiritual person, but he’s also apparently a bit superstitious. Gere is reported to carry crystals with him, believing they have both healing powers and bring luck.
Missy Elliot may be a platinum-selling star, but there’s one thing that will stop her in her tracks: a black cat. Elliot says that if one crosses her path, she’ll turn around and go the other way.
Jennifer Aniston jets all over the world, and before she steps on any flight, she has some things she likes to do. “If I walk onto an airplane, I always have to go on with my right foot first and tap the outside of the plane,” said Anniston. “I have always done it. For luck. Someone told me to do it and I don’t remember when that was. But it’s kind of stuck.”
