George Michael Touch And Go Pneumonia Battle, George Michael has spoken for the first time since being released from hospital following his battle with pneumonia, admitting his survival was “touch and go” for a period.

The ex-Wham! star suggested there was a spell of two weeks when his future was extremely uncertain.

He also described the fight against the condition, which took place in a Vienna medical centre, as the “worst month” of his life.

“It’s been ten days since I woke up. I feel amazing. It was touch and go for a couple of weeks, I played it down because I didn’t want to worry my fans,” Michael stated.

The Freedom singer admitted he is “fortunate to still be here” and appeared emotional at times while addressing the media for the first time since returning from Austria to spend Christmas at home in London.

Michael was initially rushed to hospital in Vienna on November 21st and was forced to postpone the remainder of the European tour he was on at the time.

He has since promised to reschedule all of the gigs he was due to appear at, including several in the UK.
