Geneva Motor Show

Geneva Motor Show, No doubt you all remember the mystery shrouded pictures going around the Internet about some Mitsubishi vehicle. Well, it turns out the car in question is the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander crossover. Expect to see the new car at the upcoming 2012 Geneva Motor show next month.

The first picture of the vehicle was just released, and the company says that a similar look will be adopted by all Mitsubishi models in the future. Right now there is little information concerning the crossover, but some details have been presented.

For starters, the new Outlander will come with better fuel economy levels. We have to thank the new 4 cylinder diesel and gasoline engines. Supposedly, a plug-in system is on its way too.

The 2 liter engines will muster sufficient power to get things moving acceptably. Also, the diesel variant will be mated with a turbocharger. Either way, they will have to propel a vehicle that sees lightweight construction techniques putting together a standard front wheel drive with a start-stop system and an eco-driving coach. Of course, all wheel drive will be offered for those with an appetite for adventure.

Other things that are known are some of the safety features that will go into the Outlander. The Forward Collision Mitigation System is one of them. This is a system that automatically hits the brakes if it detects something in front of the car. Other safety features include the now familiar Lane Departure Warning and the Adaptive Cruise Control. More on this subject will come as the Geneva Motor Show draws nearer.
