Gender-Neutral Bathrooms

Gender-Neutral Bathrooms, Vice-President (Student Life) Colten Yamagishi addressed a question about the possibility of gender-neutral bathrooms around campus for transgender students are not comfortable bathrooms with male / female.

Yamagishi said that many floors in SUB is gender-neutral bathrooms and toilets that most of the disabled and gender neutral, and that in speaking of the three groups of sexual minorities at school was told to create a map all bathrooms on campus and is being considered.

A question was also taken to have a gender-neutral option for students applying for residence, and Yamagishi, said that this option existed, but was accidentally left when the residence registration computer system has been changed.

Vice-President (External) Iskandar Farid replied to a question about what kind of funding from the Government of Alberta is providing the U of A. Iskandar said the Government of the U of A with a list of scholarships, but these grants do not provide sufficient funding and that the Student Union is asking for more.
