Gasparilla 2011

Gasparilla 2011, The Gasparilla Pirate Fest prepares to invade Tampa! But do you know how to avoid trouble? Last year, Tampa police adopted a zero tolerance policy for Gasparilla, which resulted in over 400 arrests, mostly for open container.

The Tampa Police Department has launched a massive education campaign in local schools and the community in 2010 and this year they have expanded the curriculum to ensure that many people the message that possible.

Although alcohol will be permitted and sold along the parade route on Bayshore Boulevard, which is the only place you’ll be able to carry an open container.

The best rule to follow along the road is the “pavement of the bay, you’re OK.” If you have any doubts about anything … you are the best bet is not to do so. We have also been questions of people on alcoholic beverages in containers as a bottle of water you get to the gym. According to police, while it remains closed while you walk the parade route, c ‘ is correct. Just do not open it, or sneak a sip until you reach the parade route.

Again, “pavement of the bay, you agree.” The sky was crystal blue, but the winds were chilly. Kids and parents were grouped and aligned in the streets of Bayshore Blvd. Eagerly waiting for the parade pirates and their own mini pirates like they have invaded Tampa Bay. Pirate’s ages braved the cold and entertained the crowd with their decorating floats blasting music from Dance (music tailored to the child), and reward the people along Bayshore with beads.

As a veteran of seven seasons parade, this was the coldest of children, OSA Parade I’ve ever participated in, and however, the cold did not dampen our spirits as we moved along Bayshore Blvd. The crowd shouted warms us, that we gave beads to children along the parade route. It is easy to forget my hands are almost imperceptible when I see a child, AOS face light up when I put the colored beads.

Not only was it fun to see the children, OSA faces light up in the crowd, it is also fun to see a member of my Krewe, children involved get caught up in the jubilation that they grew at Bayshore Blvd with their families. Children like to be part of the parade as well as their family’s do.

The event Gaparilla children, a parade participant are really a treasure of Tampa Bay, children and adults turn to celebrate the tradition of Tampa Gasparilla.
