Gas Buddy Gas Prices, A consumer group says gasoline prices in Anchorage are 26.3 cents higher than they were a year ago.
GasBuddy.com, a website that tracks retail gasoline prices around the country, says average retail gas prices increased 5.2 cents in Anchorage over the past week that ended Saturday, when the average retail price in the city was $3.79 a gallon.
That’s 0.6 cents higher than the average in Anchorage a month ago.
Nationally, the average increase was 17.1 cents per gallon over the past month.
The national average is 35 cents higher than it was a year ago.
GasBuddy.comanlyst Patrick DeHaan says prices have “perked up a bit” in the past week. He says prices should continue to go up with warmer weather approaching.
