Gaga Gun Milan

Gaga Gun Milan, Uh oh — did Lady Gaga just pull a Madonna? The “Edge of Glory” singer shocked her fans Tuesday night when she toted a gun onstage in Milan during the European leg of her Born This Way tour. The 26-year-old superstar appeared onstage — looking angelic in a flowing white gown, matching fur coat and a circular headpiece – wielding a giant machine gun in her hands. Later in the show, Mother Monster also donned a black bralet with guns strapped to the front.
But haven’t we seen these controversial onstage antics before? Gaga’s No. 1 critic, Madonna, pulled similar stunts on her MDNA tour this past summer, when she also toted a gun and other violent imagery onstage.
However, Madonna defended her actions in a post titled “The MDNA Tour — In Madonna’s Own Words.” The singer explained: “It’s true there is a lot of violence in the beginning of the show and sometimes the use of fake guns, but they are used as metaphors.”
“I do not condone violence or the use of guns,” she continued. “Rather, they are symbols of wanting to appear strong and wanting to find a way to stop feelings that I find hurtful or damaging.”
This is just the latest news in Gaga and Madonna’s ongoing feud. In July, Madonna – who had long criticized Gaga copying her style – scoffed at similarities between “Express Yourself” and “Born This Way.”
“I’m a really big fan of ['Born This Way'],” Madonna said in an interview on Brazilian television. “And I’m glad that I could help her write it.”
