Gadhafi AutopsyGadhafi Autopsy, Physicians completed the autopsy of Muammar Gaddafi on Sunday, with the chief pathologist to confirm the former Libyan leader died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Dr. Othman el-Zentani revealed no additional findings, such as whether the results revealed if Gaddafi suffered the injury in the crossfire or short distance.

Zentani said the report will now go to the attorney general’s office before it is released to the public.

Doctors performed an autopsy at a hospital in Misrata in the presence of officials from the prosecutor’s office, Zentani said.

No independent or foreign officials were present, he said.

Autopsies were also conducted on the bodies of the son of Gaddafi, Mutassim, and his former defense minister, Abu Bakr Yunis.

The three bodies are likely to return to a cold storage unit
