The attack led Colonel Qaddafi villa in a residential area in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
Ibrahim said later that the intelligence on the whereabouts of Gaddafi seems to have been “filtered” and added: “We knew about him being there, or waiting for some reason.”
NATO accused of flagrant violation of the UN resolution, saying that the Libyan government and people will fight to the finish.
Saif al-Arab, Gadhafi, the youngest son of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, and three of her grandchildren have been killed in a NATO airstrike in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, a Libyan government spokesman said, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA).
Colonel Gaddafi was in the mansion house which was affected by the strike late on Saturday, but escaped unhurt, the (BBC) quoted a spokeswoman for the agency. His son Saif al-Arab is said to be dead, and three grandchildren.
NATO has confirmed the air strike, not deny or confirm the reported deaths.
A NATO spokesman said the attack had beaten a “command and control known buildings in the neighborhood of Bab al-Azizy.”
“All NATO targets’ are military in nature … not target people,” said Lt. Gen. Charles Bouchard. He said it was aware of reports that members of the family of Col Gaddafi ‘had been killed, but no further comment. “We mourn the loss of lives, especially innocent civilians being harmed as a result of the ongoing conflict,” said Bouchard.
