Furthur, Bassist Phil Lesh and the guitarist Bob Weir may be best known for their long term with the Grateful Dead, but they have launched numerous side projects over the years as well. Furthur is one of their collaborations. The ensemble explores some of the most beloved subjects of the dead, adding some new old songs.
Furthur recently announced a winter tour that brings them to the North Charleston Coliseum on Sat April 2nd. According to a recent press release, the tour “promises to keep trmplng feet and bodies shake.” The show will feature Jeff Chimenti on keyboards (from Ratdog), drummer Joe Russo (Benevento-Russo Duo, Trey Anastasio), guitarist John Kadlecik (Dark Star Orchestra), and singers Sunshine Becker and Jeff Pehrson.
