Friggatriskaidekaphobia, Have you ever heard of the word Friggatriskaidekaphobia? Since today is Friday the 13th, many people are afraid to bring bad luck. Other people believe that Friday the 13th is a bad day for all that something bad can really happen. In my opinion, bad luck is something that we believe in ourselves and not brought to us.
Now for the record, people have already created a word for fear of Friday the 13th and is called friggatriskaidekaphobia. Frigga came from the root word which means Friday and triskaidekaphobia or paraskevidekatriaphobia which is derived from the concatenation of three different words Paraskevi (“Friday”), and dekatreís (“Thirteen”), and phobia (fear).
In fact, Friggatriskaidekaphobia not a new word at all. In fact, this word is a hundred years since its establishment in 1911. People rarely used because its bit difficult to pronounce. Still, many people both young and old have Friggatriskaidekaphobia and I guess the only thing to avoid this fear is to read and then pray and trivia like this post.
I hope that to some extent, this post has lower your Friggatriskaidekaphobia or fear of Friday the 13th.
