Fox 8 News Cleveland, Four students were shot this morning at Chardon High School in Chardon, Ohio, according to Chardon Local Schools superintendent Joseph Bergant II.

Bergant told Fox 8 News in Cleveland the suspected lone shooter has been taken into police custody.

The conditions of the injured students have not yet been released.

Ellen Ondrey, the district’s community coordinator, said the Chardon Police Department is at the scene and the school is on lockdown.

A parent with whom Fox 8 News talked said that his child had called him from inside the high school. His son suggested that the shooting occurred in the cafeteria and that five shots had been fired.
