Four Men ‘Vying For Daybreak Role’

Four Men ‘Vying For Daybreak Role’, Four candidates are scrambling to join Lorraine Kelly as the new ‘Daybreak’ presenter, according to reports. In the frame for the job are former BBC ‘Breakfast’ and ‘Watchdog’ regular Chris Hollins, ex-’Blue Peter’ man Gethin Jones, Matt Barbet from Five News and ITV news correspondent Keir Simmons.
Kelly had been rumoured as the potential new host of the show, and is now said to be ‘thrilled’ to have taken up the post.

But her agreement to become the new ‘Daybreak’ presenter has apparently come with certain conditions, including not hosting the first hour of the show.

Instead, it’s thought Lorraine Kelly will start her shift at 7am, running through to 8.30am upon which she’ll jettison her co-host and make the last hour her own solo slot, like her current show ‘Lorraine’.
