Former James Bond

Former James Bond, It has not started filming yet, but the next James Bond movie, only now known as Bond 23, may have the best cast of any movie in the series. That (obviously) that Daniel Craig will reprise his role as the iconic British spy, but also learned that Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes have joined the project, with the former likely playing the villain. Naomie Harris is also playing Moneypenny, and all in the casting of the ties we have revealed that more than one set on this occasion, with this being “the first of a new generation of James Bond movies.” Furthermore, the director Sam Mendes ideas are intended to “promote the film darker territory in which the characters are modern, mature and hard.”
Now, The Telegraph (via BleedingCool) has learned of another great addition to this set, Greenberg and The Amazing Spider-Man actor Rhys Ifans. No details on who can play, but their participation should excite people first, the guy is a great actor, and even movies unless he has taken part in are often helped by his presence. The co-starred with Craig in the 2004 film the enduring love, which The Telegraph used as an excuse to be professional, focusing on the fact that they share a screen kiss in it. Journalism, friends.
They have also learned that “much of the” production of the film will be based in South Africa. What that means nobody really knows, but is at least worth noting that the sites were being explored there in April, I guess they like what they found. It has confirmed that this is the real scenario of the film, but this is a series that takes advantage of his world-spanning locations, so I do not see that masks the location of the outlet elsewhere. But again, even use it – what many think they will – I cannot make a decent estimate as to how it will tie into the plot. Their source also says that Bardem is the villain here, but as the link above shows, that’s something we already knew.
In any case, everything is great news and I cannot really wait to see Craig again in the role of Bond, which I think is always the best portrayal of Ian Fleming to date. Shooting begins this fall, while the film will open on November 9, 2012.
