Ford Field Box Office, Tickets for the Vikings tonight Thurs Giants at Ford Field are no longer distributed. “The Detroit Lions have announced that due to the overwhelming response this morning for tickets to tonights game between the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants at Ford Field, tickets will no longer be distributed to the Ford Field Box Office, “the Lions said in a news release.”Any person already holding a ticket to Vikings-Giants game to be played in Minneapolis on Sunday, will be admitted and given places of choice tonight in Detroit.”
The Lions said fans with tickets for Sunday Packers-Detroit Lions game can also use their tickets for this game to be admitted free tonight with no reserved seating. “This is a first-come, first served event. Ford Field capacity is 64,500, and fans of the Lions-Packers ticket stubs and general admission tickets distributed this morning are not guaranteed if the stadium is reached, “the statement said.
The new tickets being gone has been disappointing for the people who got too late at Ford Field. I think that’s pretty depressing,” said Chris Fali, of Novi, who spent four hours away this morning.
Ben Hartley made a trip to Detroit in the area of Virginia Beach with his roommate to finish without a ticket. “We just wanted to get up and go to a game,” said Hartley. Ticketless, he turns to plan B – making a sign saying that he drove 12 hours and hoping that someone will give him the tickets. Stadium gates open at 5:30 p.m. The game will be televised by Fox in Minnesota and New York, but will not be broadcast live on site.
