Forbes, The 2011 edition of Forbes’ billionaires in the world “list is out – and six pioneers Facebook has managed to make the cut.
As the value of Facebook has surged, have the fortune of its founders. On the 2011 Forbes’ billionaires in the world “list, six of the original architects of Facebook have made the cut.
Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is at the top of society’s richest, ranking in the nd richest person in the world. It’s a significant jump from last year, which had, at number 212 on the Forbes list.
Zuckerberg fortune has more than tripled since 2010, soaring from & 4 to 13.5 billion and this year, mostly due to Facebook and 50 billion valuations, and after an injection of 1.5 billion in cash by Goldman Sachs.
Co-founder Dustin Moskovitz is next to the line, to 2.7 billion. With barely 26 years under his belt, Moskovitz is the world’s youngest billionaire. This year is the first time Moskovitz to the Forbes list.
Former President of Facebook (and co-founder of Napster) Sean Parker ensures his place with a fortune and 1.6 billion. Facebook investor Peter Thiel and follows with 1.5 billion. And Russian Yuri Milner investor turns to the lower end with a value of $ billion.
Eduardo Saverin, including the overthrow of Facebook was made famous as the main scenario of the Oscar-nominated film The Social Network, also made the list, with Forbes estimating that her settlement with Zuckerberg and he earned about 1.6 billion.
“Tears of Eduardo,” Steve Forbes, editor of the magazine, tells the Guardian. “If you get to be thrown out, a billion dollars is not a severance bad.”
The list of top three remains unchanged from last year, with Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett at No. 3 (and 50 billion) and Microsoft founder Bill Gates at No. 2 (and billion). Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim Helu took the title of “richest person in the world” with a fortune worth 74 billion.
In all, Forbes believes that the world has a total of, 210 billionaires.
