Florida State Fair, Despite rainy conditions earlier in the day, people turn on the opening day of the Fair of the State of Florida. Hillsborough County State Attorney Mark Ober was also present on Thursday. Ober, as well as members of the Hillsborough County Sheriff and members of the Department of Agriculture has inspected Thursday morning halfway. The solution is to make games that are legal. “We want everyone to come here and have a great time,”said Ober. Also, this year the fair features several new events and promotions. During the time of Midway Power, customers pay only a dollar to ride the rides. Hours of power are 11:00 to 12:00 on 12 and 19 February. Students in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota and Polk counties all receive free tickets fairly. Each county can use their tickets on certain days. Hillsborough Students can use their tickets on February 11. Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota and Polk may use their tickets on February 21.

The pogo pop concert and Country star Craig Morgan, Joe Nichols, Colt Ford, Sunny Sweeney and Brett Elderedge. They will perform on Feb. 11 at the Amphitheatre of 100-800 Ask Gary on the fairgrounds.

The Country Gold Tour takes the stage on February 16 at the Sweetbay Entertainment Hall. The tour features Leroy Van Dyke, Jim Ed Brown, HelenCornelius, Moe Bandy, Joe Stampley and Bobby Bare.

The Florida State Fair began Thursday morning with a groundbreaking ceremony 10:30. The exhibition features 106 laps with food vendors, livestock shows, concerts and other entertainment through February 21. This year’s goal is to bring 500,000 attendees, “said spokesman Scott Mersel. Last year, attendance of 354,000 – down from 113,000 the previous year was the lowest since the Commissioner of Agriculture was responsible for overseeing the Authority’s Fair in 1995. A financial report of the Authority Fair attendance blamed on severe weather. The economy has played a minor role, the report said. While the clouds hanging over the opening today, forecasting the weather this weekend should give nice fair a good start, Mersel said.
