Florence The Machine Albums No 1

November 7, 2011 by staff

Florence The Machine Albums No 1, ‘Ceremonials’, the new record by Florence & The Machine, has gone straight into the UK Album Charts at number one.

The album, the group’s follow-up to 2010 debut ‘lungs’, sold 90,000 copies it the first week – making it the group’s second appearance at the top spot.

‘Ceremonials’ knocked Coldplay’s latest album ‘Mylo Xyloto’ off the peak position, which has dropped down just slightly to number 2.

Another person likely to have been huddled around the wireless last night is Professor Green – whose new album ‘At Your Inconvenience’ charted at number 3, while his single ‘Read All About It’ held on to top spot in that countdown.
