Flight Attendant Quits, (Pink News) — A flight attendant who became fed up with rude passengers quit his job yesterday in a way that most dissatisfied employees can only dream.

JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater lost his temper when a passenger refused to obey his instructions on a plane just landed at JFK International Airport at noon yesterday.

Witnesses said the unknown woman hit him in the head with his luggage and swore.

Mr. Slater, 38, and then went to the intercom paging and “let out a string of invective,” the New York Times.

It said he had announced: “For the passenger who called me a mother-f *** er, f *** you. I’ve been in business 28 years. And that’s all I’ve done.”

Then he took his luggage and a beer before activating the emergency escape route, sliding down and ran to his car.

He went to his home in Queens, where police arrest quickly followed.

Mr. Slater was charged with criminal conduct, burglary and reckless endangerment.

He has become a hero of the Internet, with 14,000 people joining a Facebook group in his honor.
