Fells Point Festival

October 2, 2010 by staff

Fells Point Festival, 1. Ravens vs Steelers
Beating the Pittsburgh Steelers – despite their hated rivals will be without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger – will be a challenge for the Ravens. 1 p.m. Sunday, WJZ / CBS and 98 Rock. Matt Vensel, B

2. Free Fall Baltimore
One month of gifts from the city begins Friday and runs throughout October. With over 300 free cultural events, there is no excuse not to go out and catch a performance, listen to a conference or visit a museum. Nancy
3. Or close season against Detroit
Do not miss the last chance this year to see the kids on the playground. And just as things were improving for the O, the season has ended. The Orioles finished the regular season with a four-game series against the Tigers. 7:05 pm Thursday through Saturday, Sunday 1:35 pm at Camden Yards. BRIAN KRISTA, B

4. Fells Point Fun Festival
The festival of 44 (right) with the bands, arts, crafts, imports, a flea market and 700,000 of his closest friends. If not, will be the only one not going. 11 am-7 pm Saturday and Sunday. Anne Tallent, B

5. No Age, everything in between
It has taken me three albums to come around this duo from California, but everything in between is a long-term teacher in the garage rock hazy. It’s an album of perfect tone for the transition to fall, with glimpses of brighter days (“Common Heat”) and the need to charge ahead (“Life Prowler”). Released Tuesday. CASE WESLEY, B

6. Stars at 9:30 Club
With a little Canadian indie-rock hot these days (see figure), one of the most consistently enjoyable bands (still a bit bipolar) of the last decade comes to club DC for two nights, Tuesday and Wednesday. This is his catchy pop melancholy. And 20. Doors open at 7 p.m. 9:30. ADAM COM Sapiro, B

7. Disco ball
It’s time to iron bell pants and shirts revealing chest hair. The Ottobar is hosting a club all have the 70′s and funk dance party. Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed “Dancing Queen”, etc! Doors open at 9 pm. Saturday. No cover and 2 drinks until 10. BRIAN Krista, B

8. Darlington Apple Festival
Since I am an older person at heart, I love me some apples and festivals to farmer’s market-esque. I blame growing up in Harford County. So if you get excited about fruits and thinking of all the baked goods you can do like me (I told you – older person), take a trip to Darlington 10 am-5 pm Saturday. MARISSA GALLO, B

9. The badly dressed people in the world
Evil is putting it lightly. This website is dedicated to the worst way to look around – they are too tight shorts, bathing suits ugly and strange fantasy costumes (a lot of Comic-Con-esque looks here.) Surprisingly, most of the images seem to come from Eastern Europe. JORDAN Bartel, B
10. “Social Network”
Oscar Graves rumors surrounding the director David Fincher be increased – and the controversy surrounding – Facebook, with Jesse Eisenberg as Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg boss and Justin Timberlake as a consultant Facebook / Napster founder Sean Parker (left). I like this. Opens Friday. JORDAN BARTEL, B
